Originally from Washington D.C., Dr. Susanna Jeurling earned a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biochemistry and Biophysics from Yale University.She received her medical degree from New York University School of Medicine, where she was inducted as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society and conducted research on cardiovascular risk and gout funded by the Rheumatology Research Foundation.

She completed her Internal Medicine residency training at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and then returned home to the mid-Atlantic region to complete her training in Rheumatology at Johns Hopkins. Dr. Jeurling continues to serve as a clinical instructor at Johns Hopkins, teaching rheumatology fellows and collaborating on research projects. She is a member of the American College of Rheumatology, Maryland Society for Rheumatic Disease and serves on the leadership board of the Maryland chapter of the Arthritis Foundation.

 Dr. Jeurling is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Rheumatology through the American Board of Internal Medicine and accepts new Rheumatology patients as well as Internal medicine patients through the membership based practice of Falls Medical Specialists. She has wanted to be a physician since her own diagnosis of juvenile idiopathic arthritis as a child. Having managed her own medical conditions holistically, she is a strong proponent of lifestyle, exercise, and nutrition based interventions to optimizing health and vitality.
